NCI FNA Conference on Thyroid FNA for Cancer

This is the site of the National Cancer Institute consensus conference on all aspects of Fine Needle Biopsy of the thyroid for cancer. Go to the site and download the final report. It will help you understand how difficult thyroid FNA is, compared to FNA of other organs. Every aspect of the procedure from indications, technical aspects of obtaining and making smears, to the actual cytopathologic diagnosis.
